Supporting mental health in the workplace

How we show up at work is influenced by both our professional and personal lives. Challenges can come from the workplace itself, but they can also stem from personal circumstances, family responsibilities, or the wellbeing of loved ones. Inevitably, these experiences affect how employees engage and perform each day.

With the introduction of psychosocial hazards legislation, many leaders and managers are finding themselves uncertain about how to approach mental health conversations. There’s often a fear of saying the wrong thing, or of difficult conversations being misinterpreted. While most leaders genuinely want to support their teams, knowing how to do that in a safe and constructive way isn’t always straightforward.

This webinar explores how organisations can respond in a way that supports both their people and their performance. Talking mental health: a guide to open conversations with young people

In a world where mental health conversations are more crucial than ever, we're thrilled to invite you to an important session designed specifically for those who wish to support young people with their mental well-being.

Damien Coates has shared his lived experience with over 10,000 people and the one question he is asked more than any other is "How do I talk to young people about mental health?". This interactive event will feature a panel of three expert speakers, each bringing their unique insights and perspectives on youth mental health.

Our panellists will share valuable strategies and tools to help you initiate meaningful conversations and effectively support the young people in your life. Additionally, we will spotlight findings from the Black Dog Institute’s groundbreaking Future Proofing study.

The session will be moderated by Emily Coates and will conclude with an engaging Q&A segment, offering you the opportunity to ask your burning questions and gain clarity on this vital topic.

I watched a webinar – how are CPD points issued?

CPD points will be issued following the completion of a webinar to all those who registered and logged in under their name.

If you logged in under a different name i.e. one of your colleagues, an automated email will be sent out following the completion of the webinar with a form for each individual to complete and send back in order to receive their CPD points.

How do I sign up for webinars?

Announcements are sent to our marketing database letting them know about upcoming webinars and links to register.

If I missed a webinar can I still listen to it?

Of course. All our webinars are available on DUAL School for our supporting brokers.
